About the Hub
Sussex Music Hub is a partnership of organisations, schools and communities across Brighton & Hove, East Sussex and West Sussex, that ensures every child and young person can experience the life-changing benefits of music.
Sussex Music Hub is led by a consortium of Create Music and West Sussex Music, working in partnership with over 50 organisations from across the cultural and creative sectors and more than 550 schools across the region. Together, we support education, wellbeing, and future opportunities delivered through a rich, inclusive and locally responsive music education offer, with schools at the heart of delivery and young people shaping and driving our work and future direction.
Strategic oversight sits with the Sussex Music Hub Board, bringing together expertise from education, the music industry, and the cultural sector to guide development and ensure high-quality accessible provision for all.
Brighton Dome & Festival Ltd is the Hub Lead Organisation (HLO), accountable to Arts Council England for the funding.

Our Mission
We centre the voices of children, young people, and adults in our cities, towns, and villages to: - Inspire engagement with a diverse range of music genres and activities - Co-design, teach, develop, and showcase participants by connecting them with teachers, youth workers, creative practitioners, and cultural workers - Provide access to information, expertise, space, and resources to facilitate learning and innovation in music
Our priorities include relevance to local identities, nurturing talent, and exploring the synergy between high-quality provision and creative risk-taking.
