Lead Schools for Music

The Sussex Music Hub Lead Schools for Music Development Group brings together a network of schools from across Brighton & Hove, East Sussex and West Sussex that are committed to supporting and championing high-quality music provision for children and young people.

The group works in partnership with Sussex Music Hub to help shape strategic priorities, ensuring that the voices and experiences of schools are reflected in the development of music education across the region. Lead Schools contribute expertise, share effective practice, and provide valuable feedback on programmes, events, training opportunities and support for schools.

Through regular meetings and collaborative projects, Lead Schools help to:

• Inform the strategic direction of Sussex Music Hub.
• Shape CPD programmes, conferences and network meetings.
• Share best practice and innovative approaches to music education.
• Support school-to-school collaboration and peer networking.
• Promote the value of music education within their communities and across Sussex.
   

By working together, Lead Schools play an important role in strengthening music education opportunities for children and young people throughout the region.
